Bowman Rebecchi Supports Ardgowan Primary Schools World of Work

P2b Pupils with Andrew Bowman

Bowman Rebecchi showed its ongoing support for the local Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) programme with a visit to Ardgowan Primary in Greenock.

The visit was to help students understand the different types of careers in the future, with multiple other vocations planning visits as part of the wider project.

BR Director Andrew Bowman spent the morning with Primary 2 and 4 pupils at Ardgowan, setting challenges for the students including setting up their own property business, capturing images and videos and creating floorplans to help 'sell' their classrooms.

DYW is the Scottish Government’s Youth Employment strategy to better prepare young people for the world of work.

Reflecting on the visit, Andrew said: "It was great to spend the morning with the students and I was really impressed by their engagement and enthusiasm.

"Supporting young people into work is important to us at Bowman Rebecchi and we continue to create opportunities through our Career Ready Internship.

"We'd like to thank Ardgowan Primary for the opportunity to come back to the school again and hopefully help to inspire some of the young people's career options."

In 2021, Bowman Rebecchi signed up to be part of the delivery of the Young Person’s Guarantee in Scotland, offering further support to the DYW West region.
