Bowman Rebecchi Supports Inverclyde Council's 'The Recruit' Programme

L-R: Some of this years Recruit candidates with and Robert Lamb (sixth right) and Andrew Bowman (furthest right).

Bowman Rebecchi was delighted to be invited to support Inverclyde Council's 'The Recruit' Programme, which has returned after a two-year absence.

The Recruit is open to every fifth and sixth-year school pupil in Inverclyde and is loosely based on the hit TV programme, The Apprentice.

Running from April to August, the programme is totally extracurricular, taking place in the evenings, at weekends and during the Easter and Summer holidays.

The successful candidates form groups and undertake tasks and challenges which focus on developing their potential, confidence building, enhancing their employability skills, raising their awareness of business opportunities and raising expectations.

Andrew Bowman, Director of Bowman Rebecchi joined the candidates to share his career progress and provide advice as the youngsters get ready for the world of work.

Reflecting on the morning, Andrew said:

"It was great to be back supporting The Recruit and we'd like to congratulate the candidates for taking this hugely progressive step in their careers.

"The sacrifice and ultimate development of their skills will be dramatic as a result of taking part in this year's programme.

"It was great to spend some time with the candidates and we look forward to welcoming them to Bowman Rebeccchi for a challenge day in August 2022.

"Bowman Rebecchi continues to take strides towards its Young Person's Guarantee and thank Inverclyde Council for the opportunity to support."

Over the summer, those hungry for success will be put through their paces as they are set tasks by local businesses to test their potential and assess their employability and commitment.

Each challenge is monitored and evaluated, with candidates assessed on performance, potential and motivation.

Led by Education Development and Arts Team Lead, Robert Lamb and Development Officer Jackie Fallon, the long-running programme has enjoyed great success, with many candidates going on to have successful careers through their employers.
