Container Storage Yard Plan For Vacant Land At Business Park

An application has been made to create a storage facility on vacant ground in Port Glasgow.

Building inspection, maintenance and repair company Balmore Group is proposing a yard with 48 containers — a mixture of 20 and 10-foot units — in Kelburn Business Park.

The application follows the completion of the sale of the site by Bowman Rebecchi in June 2024. A garage workshop would also be built on the site which is on Kelburn Road.

Balmore Group are based in an industrial unit in a neighbouring section of the business park. The application is pending consideration by Inverclyde planners.
