Greenock West End Conversion Sparkles On BBC Show Final

A Greenock couple whose historic conversion featured in the Christmas version of BBC Scotland's Home of the Year has just missed out on the top prize.

Hannah Green and her partner Gordon Mitchell were finalists in the show with their stunning three-bedroom conversion in Ardgowan Square.

The flat is within a property called the Mansion House which dates back to 1886 and was converted in 2021.

They battled it out against four other top properties from Edinburgh, Auchterarder, East Renfrewshire, and Glasgow.

The finalists were up against a tough judging panel of Anna Campbell-Jones, Banjo Beale, and Danny Campbell, with Campbell saving particular praise for the design work carried out by Rebecchi Architectural.

But they were named as runners-up, losing out to Bay Tree House, a colourful and creative mid-terraced home in the Willowbrae area of the capital.

You can watch the episode on the BBC iPlayer.
