New Home For Clyde Tool Hire Given Approval

Planning permission has been granted for a storage building in central Greenock.

Inverclyde Planners have agreed that Clyde Tool Hire can build the 265 square metre structure on a triangular site at Bogle Street, beside Terrace Road following an application by Rebecchi Architectural.

The site formerly contained the Salvation Army hostel Fewster House.

Planners stated in their report: “Generally, it is considered that the nature and scale of the proposal is suited to the size of, and comparable with surrounding businesses.

“It can also be concluded that the design of the proposal is considered visually appropriate within the site.

“It reflects local architecture and materials yet also presents a bespoke and distinctive development for the site.”
