Top talents from Inverclyde’s music scene will be teaming up later this year to stage a two-day music festival in Greenock.
Talented performers from across the area and beyond are lined up to perform as the ever-popular Terraza Del Clyde event returns.
The summer festival is entering its fourth year and is moving from its previous location at the Royal Gourock Yacht Club to Greenock Wanderers Rugby Club’s Fort Matilda base.
Organisers Bruce Glenny and Dylan McFadyen, of Summer Friends Productions, say the move will help make this year’s edition the biggest and best yet.
Among the acts lined up are Scottish DJ KC Lights, electronic duo Illyus & Barrientos, and Inverclyde all-female band The Laurettes.
There will also be a special guest, with the act set to be announced on April 18.
VIP, single-day and weekend tickets for the event are currently available on Skiddle.
Bruce, who is himself a successful DJ, will also be taking to the stage as part of the event, which will take place on May 30 and May 31 this year.
He said that expanding the event had long been part of his and Dylan’s plans, and expressed his enthusiasm about the move.

He added: “All the artists playing are Scottish, and on the Friday we have six bands playing who are all from the Inverclyde area.
“The whole point is to promote local artists and musicians.
“On Saturday we’ll have a bigger lineup with even bigger artists.
"We’ll be flying people in from Ibiza, but all the artists will be Scottish and come from this sort of area.”
The festival will feature a large number of local acts and is also being sponsored by several Inverclyde firms, including Gourock property company Bowman Rebecchi.
Marco Rebecchi, co-founder of the firm, said he was delighted to be backing the festival.
He said: “Bowman Rebecchi are delighted to support Bruce with his set at the new venue here at the rugby club.
“He’s a good guy, but he’s also putting Greenock on the map in terms of the music scene.
“We always try and support groups locally and this was a great opportunity to do something with Bruce as well.”
Bruce says Terraza will be an opportunity to celebrate the talent that exists in Inverclyde’s music scene.
He added: “The whole point of Terraza when we first started it was to put on a show here that our friends and family could come along to.
“We wanted to take all those experiences of cool shows we’d done in places like Miami or Ibiza and put them into something here.
“We’ve got lots of local vendors working with us, like Clyde Eats who are sponsoring the food and drink and Shipyard Gin who’ll be doing a cocktail bar. The Wanderers themselves also have multiple bar areas down the bottom.
“I’m really excited about it but there’s so much work to be done.”
The team behind the event are hoping to attract a minimum of 500 attendees, but say that they aren’t going to get much more ambitious than that in their first year.
Bruce said: “It’s a big space and realistically we could do up to 2,000 but we just want to keep everyone happy and comfortable with it.
“This year it’s not just DJs, which is great. Our area here has a very mixed style in terms of what kind of music people like.
"There’s a lot of indies so we thought it would be right to have a day where people can go to that.
“We want to show it’s a festival for everyone, not just house and techno music.
“We want it to be a festival with all sorts and dive into lots of different genres.”
