DEMOLITION

A demolition warrant was granted by Inverclyde Council for the removal of the former job centre building which is now complete and the land being sold as a cleared vacant site.

PLANNING

In March 2023, Inverclyde Council’s planning department agreed the former Port Glasgow Job Centre can be demolished and a drive-thru built on the site. The application number was 22/0160/IC. In June 2024, a further application to increase to two drive thrus was approved (23/0254/IC) and can be viewed on the Council's Planning Portal.
