Plans Approved For New Greenock Commercial Development

Plans have been approved for a new commercial development on land in Greenock as part of businessmen Sandy and James Easdale’s property empire.

The brothers’ Dalglen1810 investment arm acquired the former Breedon Aggregates yard on Orchard Street, between Ingleston Street and Crescent Street in November 2020.

Inverclyde Council planners previously gave permission for seven small units for business, industrial, or storage/distribution use.

Rebecchi Architectural submitted revised proposals in April 2023 seeking permission for two buildings - one with nine small units ranging from 1,200 - 1,520 square feet and one containing five garages at 645 square feet which have now been given the green light to proceed.

The premises are for industrial and storage use and are to be made available to let through Bowman Rebecchi

The site is within the vicinity of other Easdale family commercial interests, including Blairs Windows and Doors and Arc Fleet Services.
